When renovating our family home in 1981, the three year old version of me knocked on our front door wearing dad’s tool belt with a hammer dragging along the ground and eagerly looked up to my mother standing at the door and said ‘got any jobs lady?’.
My mother knew from that moment that I was destined for a career in the building trade.
Coming first in my woodworking class as I left school sealed the deal.
Ever since then, I’ve been obsessed with joinery and design. I seek it out even when on holidays. Observing colours, tiles and timber features.
